Making Numbers
Thesis Project
Experimental/Typography/Editorial/Exhibition
In my thesis project, I want to experiment with paper letterforms, and to expands the possibilities of my visual expressions in graphic design. I’m using numbers as subjects to explore ways of making. All the number prototypes in this project are crafted from paper and embody architectural characteristics. As I transform them back into 2D surfaces to make posters and publications, I recognize their potential as a new form of visual expression, which may serve unforeseen purposes in future projects.
Thanks to everyone who helped me throughout the journey!

Exploring Methods of Making (4 Series)
Thesis Book
The book is a collection of the five number prototype series I made during my last semester at MICA. It comprises four flipbooks, each demonstrating a number prototypes from 360 degrees, and a main catalog documenting all the numbers I developed. The flipbooks on the front and back covers are bound to the main catalog by removable sliver clips.
