Aer Museum
Identity/Logo
Aer Museum is a contemporary museum for inflatable arts and designs around the world. Museum’s name comes from the statement of Plastique Fantastique:“It is air which makes inflatables. Not plastic.” At Aer Museum, visitors can get to learn inflatable objects in different fields, as well as enjoying the seasonal installations created by artist/designers worldwide.

As a museum of air based objects, materiality is stressed throughout the design to indicate the transparency and the bouncing touches of inflatable art works. The identity of the hypothetical opening exhibition On Aer is developed based on Origami balloons, which is one of the most simple ways to make an inflatable object. The folding lines for an Origami balloon create a unique grid and the grid is applied to exhibition collateral.
